Boy Friend

There is many a slip between the cup and the lip. Can a best friend become a boyfriend? To this, there are many perspectives and discrepancies.

#Perspective 1 – What justice does it do to the friendship and how will the boy perceive it when he gets to know that you have been looking at him that way? What happens to the purity of friendship then?
#Perspective 2 – There is nothing wrong and more honourable than a best friend becoming your boyfriend.
Solutions
#Solution 1 – When you have a prospective interest with someone’s profile, its better not to establish yourself as a friend, rather, make your intention clear, so that pain or gain will be at the minimum when it happens right at the start.
#Solution 2 – Know him better and build the trust that ensures him that you need not measure your words nor weigh your thoughts when you speak to him and ensure you that no matter what you feel for him, he will hold your hands and never mistake you.
#Solution 3 – Have a clear distinction in your mind between boyfriend and boy friend and know the differences between friendship, crush, love and lust and make your filtration right away. (Friend zoning helps!) Yes, you cannot plan love, but just in case, to be on the safer side, you can plan prospective love such that if it turns positive, you would not regret and if it turns negative, you would not worry. I know that this is a tricky statement that is debatable, but if you don’t want to lose yourself, better be guarded and hold your senses right to control who you will enjoy falling for and yet feel safe enough.

In the end, whichever choice you make must make you happy! Brain directs, heart scampers but a perfect balance between them and a good conscience helps. Just be good to that little fellow who plays to be your conscience and he will be your lucky angel and take you to your Prince Charm! Wishing Happy relationships to all readers!

Adulthood

“Don’t grow up, it’s a trap!”, people say. When we were children, all we wanted to do is grow up and be independent. We thought that adults, who were always behind us, were actually free without anyone at their back. More importantly, an adult life meant, no homework! Adults were free to travel anywhere and do whatever they liked! As adolescence envelopes, life seems excited, the opposite sex seems interesting than ever. Slowly adulthood starts swallowing in, slapping the reality of life. Life is never as safe and secured as when it offered to be at school. Outside sanctuary, the human jungle seems vast, miscellaneous and completely new. All values that school had taught seems to go in for a toss in the rat race but that indelible divine power stays loyal to you, as you do to it and keeps you guarded from the wild.

Responsibilities lay before, the road ahead, narrow, and there is no escape around; to foot it bravely, strong or weary, being the only option left. So, why should you give up on life, when life doesn’t want to give up on you? When the going gets tough, the tough gets going and the wise decision at the epoch is to wade through the mist and spite the sun’s scorch. Yes, it makes you tanned, feel ripped, washes of your beautiful colours, but wait, that isn’t the end. You get a new colour. The sun and the rain yield a rainbow, which is a combination of all the colours called life. It is at this juncture that you realize what life is and you are called matured. But why so serious? Make the best out of your maturity, don’t have it a reason to burry the infant inside you. Treat yourself well and treat others the way you would like to be treated. Smile through the confusion and dance through the storms. Celebrate life and redefine adulthood. There is life at every epoch and all it takes is to acknowledge it and live your best!

Small Is Big

The bigger the innovation and complex the implementation of a product gets, it caters only to a countable esoteric people and the brand boasts of variety while the bulk of the society is seldom benefitted with it. Regardless of how many features are available in any product, the utility of it by the customers is meagre.
Smaller the products are, the much easier it is to maintain and serve the required needs at an affordable price. But the word ‘affordable’ makes people give a sense of poorness and thus it is also necessary to create a pride in the minds of the customers who purchase the smaller products. This can be achieved by convincing people that they are worth of something creatively new that can serve their needs in the best possible way. Godrej has come up with a mini cooler named ‘Chotukool’ which can replace the traditional earthen pot and offer real coolness to the beverages. Through this, several villagers are benefitted both in terms of sale as well as lifestyle. Unsolved societal problems of today are the future business opportunities and our society is in need of a viable business model that is sustainable through structured breakthrough methods. Passionate champions with open mindset can lead this challenge at grass roots.
People always want to be unique and special, to boast of something which they have that others lack. They tend to feel happy about rare designs to claim to be the only possessor of those items. The outer design can be customized according to the needs of the customers and each Chotukool has different design patterns, which gives the customers a sense of uniqueness. This portable fridge can also be an ideal present to gift other people on their special occasions.
Involving and engaging people to make their own creation, draws customers and make them associated with the brand. Art contests for children were held to paint on Chotukool and the best of them were not only awarded but taken as sample designs and those children were paid for their contribution which would be designed in other Chotukools that are sold. Thus, something aesthetic gains more attention and appreciation than usual marketing and trying to thrust a product on people.
A product designed to create pride in the minds of the buyers, should not cater to the needs of only a separate section but extend its usage to all classes of the society so that it is not branded “cheap” and looked down as a poor people’s property and the lower class people could look up to it as something affordable they use which the higher classes use too since the higher classes are always role models for them. “The triangle of market that caters to better products for richer and the inverse for the poor must become a trapezoid so that multi-purpose usage is made and the class divide issue is solved”, said Mr G Sunderraman, Executive Vice President - Corporate Development, Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co Ltd, India

"Mom"- our family's super woman!

Leaping before looking, we fell into the deep well
Only believing that All's well that ends well.
The darkness inside, you dared at night
Scampering around and mustered all your might.
Those tireless days you did endure
And sleepless nights you spent for maneuver.
Arrows from all sides against us darted-
"Excellent! We can attack in any direction!",you said.
Although humor subtle and fear intensified,
We snuggled tight and in unison prayed.
God seldom appeared to grant weapon
But for every effort gave a lesson.
Lessons about lies and truth, life and death;
It rained ceaselessly and thundered fearfully.
The bright colors were washed away
And true colors of friends and foe exposed.
Gracious god guarded from going astray
Although could we have in the floods drowned.
You made a boat and in it we sailed,
Storm was fierce and threatened to sink.
You made a yacht and we spite the storm;
Weather was bad and waves showed high,
God was by, and anxiously we did sigh.
He seldom stopped the storm or the rain
But taught construction of boat to always reign.
Boat kept swaying and journey was scared,
Even in summer you often got seared.

Time pushed us into water & we lost the boat:
You caught a ship's hull and we caught you.
You were heavier, yet you held hard,
Your hands turning red, you still held.
One day we reached the shore
And peacefully inhaled the free air.
As a super woman who never let us drown,
You look back at the journey to make a frown.
I look at the ships and optimistically point-
"A ship is always safe at the harbor,
But that's not what its built for!!!"
Lets stoop and collect the tools and debris,
At harbor, we're assigned to build a ship,
Remember, we too can save a drowning sailor
For god's kindness are meant to share
And never forget to look before you leap!

Every girl's love story

She lifted her head as gently as the morning flowers and shot a glistening look at the sky and said, "Tell your stars that I'm your moon." Sky still remained still. As the stars grew brighter each day, she dissolved day by day and one fine day, she was gone. Sky was still jeweled by stars and he was still happy. The next day there was a storm and the stars vanished swiftly leaving behind the empty sky. A crescent came evolving. There she stood - "moon". She stood by him all through the thunder and lightning. Climate changed, the night was warm and the twinkles were back in form. She wasn't unusual though. She was still crescent, still fragile, still white and still pure! She gently let the clouds pass through her and minutely motioned through her rotation. Her father sun, gave her light to light the dark sky eternally. She did not ask the sky again nor did he echo it around. But everyone knew the truth. Down on earth, a mother pointed out at her and said,"Darling look at the moon" and fed dhal rice into her baby's mouth.

Endhiran, The Robot.

Review:
Endhiran, the Robot is expected to be one of the masterpieces of Indian movies, atleast for Tamil film Industry. In terms of technology, graphics and magnificence, the movie has done full justice and accomplished its goal. Rajini Kanth, as a robot plays the "center of attraction role" in the movie. This is definitely a different movie for Rajini as he deviates his character and body language from his usual style of his former movies. But the title and theme is given more emphasis than the usual "hero-heroine" emphasis of Tamil movies. If you are there, wanting the superficial stunts and the-good-boy role of heroes, expecting Rajini as all in all, its not the kind of movie you are anticipating. The Robot takes the center stage, dominating the movie, being empowered by his title role. Or if you were a person lost in the mesmerism of Ash's beauty in her previous movie "Jeans" under Shankar's direction, this movie cannot promise to bring back the same doll because Jeans was shot in her 20's when beauty was at her most dazzling stage but yes, the goddess of beauty Ash, does stay health wise fit and right for her age, a matter to be optimistic about. The point is that the movie seldom is written for the hero-heroine, but for the theme of the story. So, its not a sensation because of Super Star or beauty queen, but because of a science fiction directed in a neat way. Some things like the Robot returning back, assembling back its partial parts even after chopping off its parts appear incredible and a little bit superficial, but it sure does create the inspiration for students to know more about Robotics and programming!
Movie Summary:
Vasegaran(Rajini Kanth) is a scientist aiming to make a Robot to dedicate to the Indian Army and successfully accomplishes in making it, considering it to be his life time achievement. But his professor is jealous about his cognizance and rejects the Robot during its evaluation just for the fact that it can neither possess nor understand human feelings. Vasegaran takes this as a challenge and incorporates all such features in the Robot and feels proud. But here starts the trouble, for it starts loving his girlfriend Sana(Aishwarya Rai) and tries to kiss her. But Sana tries to make him understand that it is against law and the Robot walks away innocently in pain. Vasegaran gets pissed up when it attempts to kiss her and in ire chops it into pieces and throws it in the trash. Professor(villain) tries to contact it in virtual call, but manages to search for it in the trashes and remakes the same Robot incorporating an additional destruction chip inside it. The Robot begins destruction and the story goes about how they manage to control and destroy the Robot. The story is the same old concept that is told and retold in English movies, but the attempt for impeccable and spectacular making is commendable.

Phases of a Woman's Life

As a bud she leaps out of the womb
To behold her first sunlight.
Encased with love and ready to delight-
The world with her tranquility.
She germinates with fragility & exquisitely
And blooms with redolent fragrance.
Nestled & rejoiced, reflects her vigilance;
Clandestinely she begets her inflammation
In her transformation from worm to butterfly,
Diluting her nonchalance with ameliorating pulchritude.
To pollinate she flies, aroma too encompassed
To dec her beehive with honey.
As a Queen Bee she infuses reverence
From her family with weapon of patience.
To cascade her love and sustain her maneuver of goodness,
Another angel debuts the Earth
From her womb to get her first sunshine!
