Get Me Back Home!

MY CHILDHOOD HOME-MY SCHOOL
My aesthetics have dimmed,
Into the civilization of another society
Am I driven and drifted.
From sorry, thank you and please,
To hit, ransack and run away...
From discernment,share and love
To lust,disloyalty and cheat...
In an adulterated world of falsehood
Where no righteousness nor ethics stand
Am I toppling unsteadily
With miscellaneous emotions whirling
"Get me back home!",I scream.
Once a safe home - 'school'
Never pursues to be your life long home.
Yes, the reality I do perceive.
Pushes me away, the rattling wind of time.
Dare I to walk against the wind
Which billows beckoning tempest
Inching me from determination to ambivalence.
For perseverance I pray
And never yielding I do stay.
To be a Roman in Rome
Or retain my identity in all phases?
I interrogate the light in me.
Light is to break the darkness
So is my remit to crack the trials
And come out of my shell of worry
With more insight than injury.
I wished I could get back home...

I think you should retain your identity... That'll make you stand out..
Your poem is a reflection of all my thoughts(and many others too) about school...
It cannot be said in a better way!

  4. If people think you are strange, let them... Would you change yuorself into someone you don't like to be just because people around you think you are not one of them now??

  5. Not exactly.... But when u have all the chances for an unjust, yet easy way to score marks, when all the thousands around u follow it n yet u dont do it knowing u wont be caught just because u have a duh conscience... what can i feel abt myself in this context?

  6. Conscience... exactly that, you've been used to not copying.. its quite difficult for you to change that.. besides you'll feel you don't deserve the mark that you score by copying...

  7. Once i was a witty child in my Father's abode, enjoying and rejoicing in the lovely garden.
It was my luckless humanoid that I became a little playful and stepped out of the garden.
Thruogh the roads of rough and dirty, I have dradded along for four and sixty. what all
these has left for me, nothing but sixtyfour.
